Understanding The Beauty of Indian Hair

Remy Hair

Remy hair is natural human hair which is removed completely from a single donor's head, so it’s a complete set of hair with the cuticles intact. 'Remy' means all of the hair cuticles are on one side. Speaking in plain English Remy Hair is human hair that is ventilated, tied or sewn with the cuticles of the hair all moving in the same direction.

The upper and lower ends of Remy Hair are both kept in their natural state so despite brushing or combing the cuticles are maintained. Remy Hair is silky and very soft!

You can treat Remy Hair exactly the same as your own hair, make sure you use a good quality shampoo and conditioner, if using heat products such as straighteners always use a good heat protection.

Conditioning your Remy Hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, so use leave in conditioners. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep curls in place, however make sure you wash your hair after wards and DO NOT leave the products in for a long time. Remember anything you wouldn’t do to your own hair do not do to your Remy Hair Extensions!

Virgin Hair

Virgin Hair is human hair that has been through minimal chemical processing, meaning there is no chemical damage to the hair cuticles and the hair retains all of its natural properties.

Each 100g pack of our Virgin Hair comes from a single donors head, and all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction (Remy).

What is Virgin Indian Hair, where does the hair come from and why is Indian Hair so special?

People in India sacrifice their hair in return for prayers that have been answered by God. The hair is cut in Temples, then donated by the willing devotees, and auctioned off to distributors.

Our beautiful Virgin Indian Hair has never been chemically treated the hair is not processed in any way, so the cuticles that protect the hair are intact and never damaged. Our Hair, is hand selected, care is taken to assure that all cuticles run in the same direction to prevent tangling, resulting in soft long lasting full body hair. No artificial or non-human hair mixed in with the hair you buy.

How long do your Indian Virgin Hair product last?

This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it.
With proper maintenance, the hair product last well for years. If you take good care of it and treat it like your own hair and for it to last than any other kind of hair. Shampooing and conditioning every week please follow hair care instructions page.

Can I color this hair?

YES! Depending on the color you are looking for. This is 100% virgin human hair which is not processed in any way. It can be colored with professional permanent, semi-permanent and cellophane colors. We do not recommend you bleach the hair then dye it!
PLEASE NOTE: Once the hair has been colored, it is no longer considered “virgin” hair so we do not guarantee product after it has been treated in any way.

Can I flat iron or curl the hair?
Only use ceramic iron on your Indian hair. However, please keep in mind that every time you apply heat you damage the hair, decreasing its longevity of the hair. Only use plug-in electric styling tools at the lowest heat setting. The heat setting should be at 450degrees when flat ironing hair

Caring for Your New Indian Remy Hair Extensions
It is important that you follow these hair care tips so your new hair extensions will last as long as possible.

Washing Hair: Indian Remy Hair should be treated as normal hair and washed regularly to maintain its natural shape. Shampoo, condition and moisturize your hair every 3-5 days. Make sure to brush out all tangles before you wash your hair or go to sleep at night. Always use a low PH high moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Some shampoos can be too harsh for your hair extensions; we recommend that you pre- condition your extensions before washing by applying conditioner to hair without rinsing it out. Then wash hair normally and follow with conditioner.

Styling:
• Use a soft bristle brush starting from the bottom, gently work your way up. Do not tug or pull on the hair.
• At night, tie your hair up gently or wrap it to prevent tangling.
• If you have braid extensions, run your fingers through the braids to help prevent tangling.

***DO NOT PUSH CUT OR NEEDLE THROUGH HAND-TIED WEFTS*** This will jeopardize the integrity of the hair causing tangling and shedding. The wefts come in pieces and are flexible and can be folded to desired length then sewn in.
